Alan Mortensen files suit against Delta Airlines

Attorney Alan Mortensen filed a lawsuit under the Montreal Convention Treaty against Delta Airlines and Serviseg, a Mexican company, out of an accident that occurred in Cancun, Mexico as Mr. Mortensen's client was disembarking from a Delta plane. The case was filed in the United States Federal District Court in the State of Utah. The Montreal Convention, formally the Convention for the Unification of Certain Rules for International Carriage by Air, is a treaty adopted by a Diplomatic meeting of ICAO member states in 1999. Both the United States and Mexico are members of the ICAO. The Convention also allows the victim or their families to sue airlines where the victim maintains their principal residence.
