Two seperate small plane crashes in West Jordan in one month

On September 15, 2011 a home-built plane crashed on the grounds of Columbia Elementary School in West Jordan, killing the pilot and his dog. On October 4, 2011, an experimental aircraft crashed into a soccer field shortly after taking off from Airport Number 2 in West Jordan, killing both the pilot and a passenger.

Both accidents are under investigation by the FAA.
